Job summary

Clarkston Consulting is seeking a LIMS Consultant to deliver systems solutions for life sciences clients. You will configure LabWare or LabVantage LIMS, develop automation scripts, and ensure GxP compliance across multiple sites while collaborating with scientists, QA/CSV, and IT.

Travel is around 30-50% and relocation is not required. We value expertise in regulated environments and strong documentation skills, with a mindset for quality and client-facing demos.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with LabWare or LabVantage LIMS.
• Experience configuring and customizing LabWare or LabVantage LIMS to support laboratory workflows.
• Proven ability to design, configure, and validate assay workflows.
• Experience developing and maintaining scripts for workflow automation, business rules, calculations, instrument integrations, and data transformations.
• Solid understanding of laboratory operations and end-to-end lab processes.
• Proficient in developing project documentation and delivering configuration demonstrations to clients.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or food safety.
• Strong knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other regulatory requirements.
• 4-year degree in Life Sciences, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Configure LIMS modules to support workflows (assay development, plate results, sample management).
• Design, configure, and validate assay workflows in regulated environments.
• Develop and maintain scripts for workflow automation and data transformations.
• Develop project documentation and demos for clients.
• Collaborate with scientists, QA/CSV, and IT to gather requirements and support validation activities.
• Ensure configurations comply with 21 CFR Part 11 and other procedures.
• Collaborate with a team of LIMS consultants across sites for deployment.
