Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a linguist to quality-check and perform translation and copy edit tasks, coordinating a team of translators for assigned accounts/projects. You will help train freelancers and ensure adherence to language processes and deadlines.

The role requires native German, fluent English, and 3+ years in marketing & Life Sciences localization. You will work with a remote team and contribute to developing new workflows and tools within Welocalize.

Qualifications

• Native German language skills required.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• 3+ years experience in Translation/Localization of marketing & Life Sciences content.
• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform translations and reviews (English to German) for entertainment, marketing, PR and Life Sciences content.
• Conduct copy edit tasks on assigned projects/accounts.
• Lead support on assigned projects and accounts.
• Maintain language materials (glossaries, style guides, work instructions) to quality standards.
• Research to ensure top-quality delivery and consistency.
• Learn and master translation tools and processes.
