As a remote, 1099 agent, you’ll speak with interested families, assess goals, present suitable products, guide clients through underwriting, and record notes in the CRM. Strong people skills and self-motivation are essential.

Qualifications

• No prior insurance experience required; training provided.
• Must be willing to obtain state licensing before selling; timelines vary by state.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and honesty in difficult questions; strong self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Speak with people who have requested information about life insurance.
• Ask about household goals and concerns before presenting options.
• Walk through suitable options and complete the application with the client.
• Stay with each case through underwriting and keep the client informed.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM after every conversation.
• Learn products, carriers, and state rules through ongoing training.
