OneAmerica Financial is seeking a Customer Engagement Specialist to support Individual Life Financial Services. You will interact with customers and agents by phone and email, delivering a high level of service and one-call resolutions.

The role emphasizes active listening, empathy, and collaboration across teams. Training spans onsite and remote work, with occasional office presence in Indianapolis as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience in lieu preferred.
• Prefer 1+ yrs. insurance experience in operations, call center or financial services.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple systems is helpful.
• Great active listening skills.
• Foreign language skills a plus but not required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
• Ability to adapt to multiple platform systems.
• Phone skills, including familiarity with complex or multi-line phone systems.
• High School Diploma required; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support via phone and email with urgency and empathy.
• Handle inquiries on policy status, loan balances, and demographic changes.
• Identify needs, research issues, and deliver one-call resolutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve customer experience.
• Manage high incoming volumes to meet service and quality goals.
• Submit service requests and assist clients.
