Acturhire is seeking a Consulting Actuary (Life) for remote, full-time work. The role involves supporting the actuarial portions of financial examinations and regulatory projects, with potential involvement in health or property & casualty projects as needed.

Preferred candidates hold ASA or near-ASA with 4–8 years of actuarial experience, and are proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat PDF. Regulatory consulting experience and TeamMate+ knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• ASA or near-ASA certification is required or expected.
• 4-8 years of actuarial experience in related roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat PDF.
• Regulatory consulting experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with asset adequacy analysis is preferred but not required.
• Experience with principles-based reserves is preferred but not required.
• Strong writing skills and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of TeamMate+ is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the actuarial portion of financial examinations and regulatory projects.
• Coordinate assignments with the lead actuary and supervise analysts when appropriate.
• Communicate with regulatory clients; some tasks may be delegated to others on the project team.
• Support health or P&C projects as workload allows.
• Possibly serve as peer reviewer on tasks performed by another credentialed actuary.
• Take on other tasks as assigned by Senior Managing Director or Director.
