Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program is seeking a Contract Remote Therapist to provide licensed mental health services to youth and families in a remote capacity. The role requires an independently licensed clinician (LICSW, LMFT, or LPC) and supports a caseload in a community-based setting with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold independently licensed credentials (LICSW, LMFT, or LPC).
• Master’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of direct service with youth and families preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance, and clean driving record.
• Willingness for flexible/non-traditional hours to support foster caregivers and families.
• Ability to work respectfully with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Proficient with computers and standard software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
• Minimum auto insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling or therapy to youth and families remotely.
• Deliver individual, group, and family mental health services and case management.
• Travel daily to deliver community-based services while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Complete documentation and required trainings promptly.
• Maintain and monitor service plans and youth progress.
• Coordinate services across mental health, medical, educational, and social supports.
• Build strong relationships with foster parents and families of origin.
• Support family reunification and stable permanency goals.
• Provide safety assessments, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization as needed.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and weekly supervision.
