Job summary

Safe Place Counseling Center seeks a Licensed Mental Health Therapist for full-time, remote outpatient work in Florida. The role emphasizes culturally competent care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and flexible scheduling to meet patient needs.

You will conduct assessments, implement evidence-based therapies (CBT/DBT), and provide individual, family, and group sessions while ensuring ethical documentation and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid Florida licensure as LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatments.
• Experience delivering therapy to diverse populations with inclusive practice.
• Crisis intervention skills with professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health assessments considering patients' histories and cultural contexts; tailor treatment plans.
• Implement CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based therapies with cultural responsiveness.
• Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinicians for integrated care.
• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain secure, confidential documentation per standards.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and cultural competence training.
• Research best practices relevant to client demographics.
