Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining access to necessary resources for effective patient care. You will connect with clients through telehealth platforms, ensuring you can reach those who might not otherwise have access to mental health services. The position operates on a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, with core hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and some flexibility may be needed to accommodate the unique scheduling demands of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand the unique experiences and needs of each patient, forming the basis for personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored specifically for individuals, families, and groups, integrating cultural considerations into your approach.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns, aiming to foster resilience and overall well-being among our clients.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a coordinated approach to mental health care, optimizing patient outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing mental health emergencies, staying calm and effectively managing challenging situations.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, potential treatment pathways, and relevant community resources available to them to enhance their understanding and engagement.
• Ensure meticulous and confidential documentation of all patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
• Actively engage in case conferences and team meetings, contributing valuable insights and collaborating on strategies to improve patient care.
• Participate in ongoing cultural competency training sessions to enhance your understanding and effectiveness in serving our diverse patient population.
• Stay informed about emerging research and best practices in mental health therapy, and integrate current knowledge into your clinical practice.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• A profound understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, coupled with demonstrated cultural competence.
• Skill and experience in delivering individual and group therapy with a culturally responsive and inclusive mindset.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the field of mental health counseling, with a focus on culturally responsive practices.
• Previous experience working in diverse outpatient settings, preferably involving telehealth services.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitively set at USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
