Job summary

Opti Staffing Group in Anchorage seeks an experienced licensed insurance agent to join a growing independent agency team. You will quote, bind, and service personal and commercial lines while building lasting client relationships in a remote/hybrid setup.

This role requires an Alaska license, 3–5 years of personal lines experience, and proficiency with multiple carriers and agency software. Expect a fast-paced environment with commission-based earning potential and opportunities to grow a book

Qualifications

• Active Alaska Property & Casualty license with no licensing issues.
• 3-5 years of personal lines insurance experience required; independent agency experience preferred.
• Experience with multiple Alaska carriers (Liberty Mutual/Safeco, Progressive, Umialik, Foremost) or similar.
• Familiarity with agency management systems (Applied Epic/TAM/HawkSoft/AMS360/EZLynx/Agency Zoom).
• Strong phone etiquette and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Quote and bind personal lines policies across carriers.
• Handle endorsements, rewrites, and renewals.
• Manage high-volume inbound/outbound client calls.
• Cross-sell home, auto, umbrella, and recreational insurance.
• Explain coverage differences and process policy changes.
• Read declarations pages and underwriting requirements.
• Sell and service life, vehicle, and property/business lines.
• Maintain accurate client records in the agency system.
• Grow a book of business through referrals and retention.
• Stay current on carrier guidelines and state regulations.
