Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Licensed Electrician / Installation Technician to support the FAA's Radar System Replacement program and oversee electrical work for power distribution, grounding and earthing, and surge protection at FAA facilities nationwide.

The role requires active licensure, 2–4 years’ electrical experience, and willingness to travel to FAA sites. Remote work is possible with travel; US Citizenship and Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Active licensed electrician certification (state or jurisdictional).
• 2–4 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
• Willingness to travel to FAA sites nationwide.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and local codes.
• US Citizenship required for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed electrical installation activities supporting radar room equipment and infrastructure.
• Install, terminate, and test power cabling for radar, communications, and support equipment.
• Coordinate with FAA personnel for connection into site power switchboards and distribution systems.
• Install grounding and earthing systems, including busbars, conductors, and SPDs.
• Support power connection testing, verification, and documentation for energization.
• Assist with electrical aspects of antenna installations, including lightning protection interfaces.
• Support installation acceptance testing (IAT) and system start-up activities.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical installation issues in the field.
• Prepare installation documentation and as-built information.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, quality, and FAA requirements.
