As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist - Intake Specialist in New York, you will pair patients with specialists, support care transitions, and use the aptihealth platform to help patients achieve outcomes. This role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant telehealth and collaboration with virtual teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State with a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology.
• 3+ years’ experience in diagnostic assessment.
• 3+ years’ experience in providing individual therapy.
• Experience working with a broad behavioral health population, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and other behavioral health conditions, and determining appropriate treatment recommendations and level of care.
• Experience working with children and adolescents, including patients as young as age 5.
• Experience assessing for crisis situations and suicide or self-harm risk as part of diagnostic or intake assessments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a virtual clinical team, including coordinating treatment and supporting transitions of care.
• Experience using electronic health records, telehealth platforms, and electronic clinical documentation workflows in a remote clinical environment, including completing diagnostic assessments, treatment recommendations, and risk documentation electronically.
• Professional proficiency in English
• Some early evening/weekend hours required
• Reliable high-speed internet and access to a private, professional workspace that supports confidential patient conversations and HIPAA-compliant telehealth services
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary or collaborative care model is a plus
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic interviews and formulate initial diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
• Pair patients with Licensed Behavioral Health Specialists best qualified to meet needs.
• Support treatment planning and transitions of care using the aptihealth platform.
• Ensure confidential patient conversations via HIPAA-compliant telehealth services.
