Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Behavioral Health Care Advocate to coordinate case management for members on the SED and Autism Waivers, assessing needs, determining levels of care, and guiding treatment plans across providers and facilities.

This role requires Kansas licensure, 2+ years post-license experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Remote work flexibility is available for eligible areas, with up to 50% travel within the service region.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license in Kansas in a behavioral health field.
• 2+ years of post-license experience in a related mental health environment.
• Proven intermediate Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Access to secure high-speed internet and a dedicated home workspace.
• Live in or near Hays, KS, with reliable transportation and ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Make patient assessments and determine appropriate levels of care.
• Coordinate benefits and transitions between areas of care.
• Develop and monitor implementation of Person-Centered Service Plans.
• Collaborate with Community Mental Health Centers to ensure services are received.

Education

Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Counseling

Active, unrestricted license in Kansas (LP, LPC, LCP, LCPC, LMSW, LSCSW, LMFT, LCMFT, or RN)
