Job summary

The Library of Congress invites applications for the 2027 Spring Internships (LOCI). This remote, full-time internship runs 10–12 weeks and offers undergraduates, graduates, and recent graduates hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of library work including copyright, preservation, and information management.

Selected interns will work from home within the U.S. and participate in mandatory orientation on February 8, 2027, with a posted pay range of $17.78–$19.24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution (undergraduate or graduate) or have graduated or will graduate between Jan 1, 2026 and Dec 31, 2026.
• Transcripts and/or registrar certification of enrollment must be provided to verify eligibility.
• Official transcripts will be required if selected for the position.

Responsibilities

• Engage in remote Library of Congress projects across a range of disciplines.
• Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and mentoring.
• Document and present project accomplishments at the end of the appointment.
