Job summary

Library of Congress invites qualified undergraduates, graduates, and recent graduates to apply for the LOCI program, a seasonal internship running for 10–12 weeks. The internship is paid and requires U.S. citizenship, enrollment in a degree program, and availability for the full 12-week period from February 8 to April 30, 2027.

A mandatory orientation is on February 8, 2027. Applicants must be available to work full-time, Monday through Friday, during Library of Congress core hours (6:30 am–6:00

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college/university or have graduated between Jan 1, 2026 and Dec 31, 2026.
• Must be available to work remotely for the full twelve-week period (Feb 8, 2027–Apr 30, 2027) and attend mandatory orientation Feb 8, 2027.
• Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday during core hours 6:30 am–6:00 pm EST.
• Appointment is subject to favorable security/suitability background investigation; respond quickly to the Personnel Security Department within one week.
