Job summary

Synthires is seeking experienced Lawyers and Legal Writers to contribute to a project evaluating and improving advanced AI systems. You will apply your legal writing, editing, and analytical expertise to assess how AI-generated legal and technical content meets quality standards.

This engagement is an evaluation and analysis role, not legal advice or representation. Ideal candidates have strong experience drafting, reviewing, editing, and evaluating legal documents across various practice areas,

Qualifications

Qualifying law degree from a university in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.
Strong professional-level written English and exceptional written communication skills.
Experience drafting legal documents such as briefs, motions, legal memoranda, legal opinions, regulatory submissions, or similar materials.
Strong legal writing, editing, proofreading, and document-review capabilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to identify unsupported claims, ambiguity, overstatement, and factual inaccuracies.
Strong ability to assess audience appropriateness and communication effectiveness.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and compare AI-generated responses to legal and technical prompts.
Assess written content for clarity, structure, tone, precision, and compliance with instructions.
Assign quality ratings and provide detailed written justifications for evaluations.
Identify unsupported claims, overstatements, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and factual inaccuracies.
Review legal reasoning, analysis, and arguments for completeness and accuracy.
Evaluate whether content is appropriately tailored to legal, regulatory, client, or public audiences.
Assess the use of legal terminology, qualifications, citations, and supporting rationale.
Document findings accurately using digital review and annotation platforms.
Maintain consistency with project guidelines and evaluation standards.
Work independently while managing assigned deliverables and deadlines.
Apply professional legal-writing judgment across a wide variety of content types.
