Job summary

Harbor is seeking a Legal Technology Consulting Director for Discovery and Data Management to lead and deliver high-impact eDiscovery programs for Fortune 500 clients. This remote role supports nationwide clients with a focus on Chicago as HQ proximity.

You will guide discovery assessments, data management strategies, and scalable governance across engagements. You will mentor teams, manage complex projects, and contribute to business development while leveraging expertise in eDiscovery

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience in legal consulting or technology implementation, customer facing
Experience performing eDiscovery process and/or technology assessments, selecting and implementing eDiscovery platforms
Hands-on experience implementing Exterro, RelativityOne, Reveal, DISCO, Everlaw, Nuix, OpenText, or other similar systems
Strong knowledge of productivity platforms, such as M365 Purview, Google Vault, Slack
Four-year degree in Finance, Business, CS, Software Eng, Info Science, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Data & Analytics, or equivalent
Demonstrated knowledge of EDRM, FRCP, eDiscovery technologies and service providers
Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent engagements and clients
Excellent communication and storytelling skills (written, data-driven, and verbal)
Willingness to self-study and learn AI-enabled solutions
Having permanent US work authorization

Responsibilities

Lead multiple client engagements and relationships
Oversee all aspects of project delivery and administration
Mentor and guide team members to timely completion of high-quality client deliverables
Cultivate strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service
Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives
Facilitate workshops with senior legal and IT stakeholders
Benchmark eDiscovery processes, technologies, and costs against industry best practices
Identify eDiscovery service providers and available technologies
Develop recommendations and roadmaps to mitigate risk and improve efficiency
Map current workflows to new tech-enabled processes
Create eDiscovery process documentation, playbooks, SOPs, and matrices
Define change management strategies and ensure user adoption
Coordinate training with clients and providers
Lead project management for system implementations and coordinate vendors
Serve as primary contact/escalation for key client contacts
