Job summary

Emptor, a fully remote B2B SaaS startup, is seeking a Legal Operations Analyst to join our Operations team. You will support data analysis, interpret legal documents, and review background checks, with a focus on the Brazilian justice system. You will handle sensitive information and operate via Emptor’s API.

This remote role is LATAM-based, with work hours 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM UTC-5. Compensation ranges from BRL 5,000 to 6,000 per month, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Portuguese with daily work availability.
• Experience with criminal background checks and Brazilian justice system.
• Ability to read official Brazilian court documents in Portuguese.
• Strong data handling and attention to detail.
• Comfort with remote/distributed teams and API-based processing.

Responsibilities

• Review criminal record results from official Brazilian databases.
• Apply adjudication criteria to determine relevance of a record and document findings clearly.
• Provide clear answers to questions from manual reviews.
• Act as an onboarding buddy for new team members, walking them through processing BGCs.
• Report bugs and suggest improvements to the system and workflow.
• Attend team meetings and ceremonies on time.
• Ensure client data security.
