Job summary

VoteRiders, a nationwide nonprofit focused on voter ID education and assistance, offers a remote Legal Internship for 10–20 hours/week across Spring and Summer semesters. The role supports the Legal team with research, policy analysis, and drafting memos, while working cross-functionally with Field and Communications teams.

Open to students with a demonstrated commitment to voting rights and relevant skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABA-accredited law school with 1L completed.
• Strong research and policy analysis skills.
• Ability to write for multiple audiences.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Commitment to voting rights or public interest work.

Responsibilities

• Track election-related litigation and legislative developments.
• Conduct legal and policy research and analysis on voting rights issues.
• Draft memos, talking points, and public-facing materials.
• Support the Legal team on reports, advocacy, and coalition work.
• Collaborate with Field and Communications on campaigns.
