Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs hires Lecturers in Human Physiology and Nutrition for temporary, non-tenure track positions to fill open sections of courses across the curriculum. Examples include introductory lecture and/or lab sections of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise science.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, exercise science, or closely related area.
• Alternative: Master's in another field with 18 graduate credits in anatomy, physiology, nutrition or exercise science.
• Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in anatomy, physiology, and nutrition.
• Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and lead active learning exercises to enhance student engagement.
• Develop and implement assessments (exams, quizzes, assignments, and projects) to evaluate student learning outcomes.
• Use evidence-based pedagogical techniques to support diverse learning styles.
• Coordinate with lab personnel and teaching assistants to support student learning experiences.
