The Foth Companies is seeking a Lead Waterfront/Marine Structural Engineer to serve as a technical lead on waterfront, coastal, and marine projects. Location options include Jacksonville, FL or remote for the right candidate, with responsibilities spanning planning, design, and construction.

The role requires a PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months, plus 10+ years in structural engineering focusing on feasibility, design, or construction management. Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience in feasibility, design, and/or construction management
• Experience with developing construction documents including plans and specifications
• Professional Engineer License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and designer on coastal, waterfront, and marine projects across planning, engineering, and construction efforts
• Perform coastal condition calculations and structural analyses for shoreline protection and marine structures
• Lead development of construction documents, plans and specifications, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables
• Identify and implement innovative design technologies and improve standard practices in coastal engineering
• Support business development by preparing technical approaches and proposals and building client relationships
• Act as primary technical point of contact for clients throughout project lifecycle
• Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams to advance coastal engineering competencies
