Job summary

Stride K12 Texas partner schools (TXSS) seek an experienced Assistant Manager for the TEALS program to oversee self-contained special education services, align instruction with IEPs, and ensure compliance with IDEA and state requirements.

You will collaborate with school leaders and service providers, supervise staff, provide training, monitor progress, and report outcomes while managing a busy, remote work schedule.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education (required).
• Three years of special education teaching experience (required).
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, compliance requirements, and instructional practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, and staff development skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Successfully complete required background checks.
• Three years of special education administration (desirable).
• Experience supporting self-contained special education programs (desirable).
• Experience with IDEA compliance, special education audits, and program monitoring (desirable).
• Experience supporting STAAR Alternate 2 assessment administration (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee TEALS program compliance with federal/state/local regulations, including IDEA requirements.
• Develop and implement special education policies and procedures with school leadership.
• Train staff to ensure compliance with special education requirements and timelines.
• Oversee development and maintenance of IEPs, progress monitoring, and related documentation.
• Coordinate service delivery with related service providers and internal teams.
• Plan and administer STAAR Alternate 2 eligibility reviews and assessments.
• Analyze data to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
• Supervise staff and promote collaboration among school leaders, general ed staff, and families.
