Job summary

Stride K12 Texas partner schools seek a dedicated Assistant Manager, Special Education TEALS Program to supervise and improve self-contained SPED programs. You’ll ensure IEPs, progress monitoring, and compliance with IDEA requirements while partnering with school leaders and service providers.

You will lead staff development, implement SPED policies, and support data-driven decision making to drive student outcomes and program integrity.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in special education and three years SPED teaching experience.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, compliance requirements, and instructional practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, and staff development skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Successfully complete required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of TEALS SPED programs and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including IDEA requirements.
• Develop, implement, and communicate SPED policies in collaboration with school leadership.
• Train staff to ensure SPED compliance, timelines, and department expectations.
• Oversee REEDs, FIEs, IEPs, progress monitoring, and SPED documentation.
• Collaborate with related service providers and internal teams to ensure required services and reporting.
• Coordinate SPED assessment activities, including STAAR Alternate 2 planning and administration.
• Analyze student and program data to support compliance and improve instructional practices.
• Supervise staff and foster collaboration among leaders, general and SPED staff, and families.
