The ideal candidate has strong Kafka experience, hands‑on cloud native skills, and proficiency in Java, Python or Go. Remote work is supported with priority given to North Carolina, Arizona and Texas markets.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, configuring and maintaining Confluent Kafka clusters in multi‑data center and cloud environments.
• Hands‑on with best practices for Kafka topics, schema evolution and DevOps automation.
• Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams and Schema Registry.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or Go; cloud native architecture exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain Kafka clusters across data centres and cloud environments.
• Implement authorization, authentication and schema governance.
• Build real‑time data pipelines using Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams and KSQL/ FlinkSQL.
• Monitor performance and ensure high availability; mentor others on new tech.
