First Citizens Bank is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive Kafka-based event-driven integrations within the Enterprise Architecture team. This remote role supports multiple US markets with priority for North Carolina, Arizona and Texas.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree plus 6 years of software development experience.
OR High School Diploma/GED plus 10 years of software development experience.

Responsibilities

Design, configure and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters across data centers and cloud environments.
Implement authorization, authentication and schema governance.
Build real-time data pipelines using Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams and Schema Registry.
Monitor system metrics and address performance issues to ensure high availability.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to associates, management, and project teams.
