Job summary

Blue Rose Research is seeking a Software Engineering Lead to set the technical direction for a new generation of AI-powered products. You will lead a team building conversational interfaces, autonomous research agents, and data tools.

You'll partner with political researchers, data scientists, and product stakeholders to ship impactful software at scale, balancing speed, quality, and long-term architecture in a remote-first environment with a NYC office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years as a tech lead.
• Hands-on experience building products with LLMs.
• Comfort solving ambiguous problems and driving progressive causes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team from prototypes to production, owning architecture and quality.
• Stay hands-on with code, reviews, and solving hard technical problems.
• Plan work across cycles to ensure systems are ready before peak pressure.
