Job summary

Discovered Labs is seeking a Head of SEO & AEO to line-manage a team of analysts and strategists, driving performance across client work and aligning with product and engineering to build better tools and workflows. This fully remote role requires strong SEO leadership, high standards, and a focus on client health and growth.

You will oversee delivery across content, technical SEO, and off-site amplification, coaching the team, and ensuring quarterly net revenue retention targets are met.

Qualifications

• Experience formally managing SEOs with evidence of improved performance, candid feedback and difficult people decisions.
• Strong practical SEO judgement across content, technical and off-page work.
• Evidence that your SEO decisions improved client business outcomes.
• Evidence of prioritising across client accounts or equivalent stakeholder portfolios when performance, retention risk and delivery capacity compete.
• Ability to define requirements and acceptance criteria for delivery improvements, and validate solutions with product or engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal English and availability for a working day that overlaps meaningfully with GMT.

Responsibilities

• Improve the delivery methodology to identify SEO/AEO opportunities and turn changes into reusable playbooks.
• Set and maintain delivery standards to ensure a world-class client experience.
• Coach and train the team weekly with structured reviews.
• Manage performance and development with regular 1:1s and reviews.
• Own client health and quarterly revenue retention goals.
• Build the talent bench and hire effectively.
