McColm & Company invites a Lead Researcher and SME to join a Short Term Consultancy focused on a Strategic Assessment and Gap Analysis of forced labor and human trafficking in global supply chains. The position is fully remote, with periodic virtual briefings of government personnel and stakeholders.

The role leads methodology, data collection, benchmarking, and the drafting of the final reports. A master’s degree and proven experience in responsible sourcing and U.S.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in public policy, international relations, human rights, law, economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading mixed-methods research, including design of sampling, interviews, surveys, and data triangulation.
• Strong analytical writing skills with ability to deliver evidence-based reports for senior decision-makers.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation with government, private sector, and lived-experience stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and methodological development for the assessment and tool creation.
• Design and lead data collection activities (interviews, focus groups, surveys, document review).
• Lead benchmarking analysis and triangulate findings across sources.
• Draft sections of the strategic report covering current-state, governance, and funding options.
• Coordinate with government personnel and reviewers through virtual meetings.
