Job summary

Simplify Recruiting is seeking a Lead QA Analyst with EDIFECS experience to validate the EDI integration layer of a healthcare core system. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designing and executing test plans for trading partner configurations, maps, and validation rules, ensuring HIPAA X12 flows are compliant end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field.
• 8-10 years in healthcare EDI/integration QA with hands-on EDIFECS experience.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI transactions (270/271, 834, 835/837, 275, 276/277).
• Ability to write detailed test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices for EDI/integration testing.
• Experience validating trading partner onboarding, acknowledgments (999/997/TA1/277CA) and connectivity (AS2/SFTP).
• Defect management tools (JIRA/HP ALM or equivalent).
• Querying and validating data in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
• Experience with API/EDI testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• AI-driven testing knowledge and secure AI usage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans for EDIFECS configurations and X12 transactions.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across environments.
• Validate inbound/outbound EDI processing against HIPAA X12 implementation guides.
• Test trading partner onboarding configurations and connectivity (AS2, SFTP).
• Document defects in JIRA and coordinate with teams for resolution.
• Collaborate with onsite leads and client stakeholders on requirements and validation.
• Validate SpecBuilder specs, maps, and business rules against requirements.
• Perform database validation across MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
• Support production defect triage and troubleshooting.
• Create QA documentation: test plans, test cases, and traceability.
