Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Power Systems Analysis Engineer for a remote role based in the United States. The ideal candidate will lead complex electrical power systems analyses for heavy industrial projects, provide technical oversight, and mentor junior engineers.

Candidates should have a PE or be able to obtain in other states, with strong SKM/ETAP proficiency. Responsibilities include bid support, client interactions, data collection, and coordinating with design teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Ten years of professional experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• Exposure to metals, midstream oil & gas, refineries & petrochemical, or utilities & power generation industries.
• Proficiency in SKM and ETAP.
• Experience leading project or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical power systems analysis projects.
• Review client requests, proposals and bid scopes; prepare manhour estimates.
• Perform data collection via site walks to support analyses.
• Conduct load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protective device coordination studies.
• Produce reports detailing analytical findings.
• Coordinate with design/engineering teams to implement findings.
• Act as QC resource by reviewing others’ reports and analyses.
• Support regional business development and client discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
