Resource Innovations is seeking a Lead Java Software Engineer to join our SaaS team. This remote role requires occasional in-person meetings in Madison, WI, and potentially other US metro areas.

You will design, develop, and deploy cloud-based enterprise software for energy organizations and lead development efforts across teams. We value strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, cloud experience, and a passion for scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience building high-performance, reliable, and scalable enterprise applications.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot with cloud experience.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the full software development life cycle of cloud-based enterprise applications.
• Design and develop cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot; work with REST/SOAP, API Gateways, and RDBMS.
• Ensure software designs meet performance, security, usability, reliability, and scalability requirements.
• Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement in development standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, DevOps, Product, and Business teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Git).
• Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues and bottlenecks; optimize applications for performance and scalability.
