EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, Applied AI (Frontend Leading) to craft GenAI-powered web UIs and enterprise frontend libraries. You will bridge LLM orchestration with UX across IT, HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Support.

The role emphasizes building secure, accessible, and high-performance frontends using React/TypeScript or Vue, with APIs and microservices on AWS. Remote work is offered within the US, with substantial compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years production experience with React/TypeScript or Vue for enterprise web apps.
• 5–8 years of software engineering across full web stack (frontend UIs, REST APIs, microservices).
• 2+ years integrating GenAI features, LLM APIs, and prompt UI patterns in web apps.
• Strong Python backend development and 2+ years building cloud microservices on AWS, Docker & REST APIs.
• Experience building and maintaining reusable component libraries and design systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build GenAI-powered web applications with intuitive UIs and client-side integrations.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces using React, TypeScript, or Vue for streaming and low latency.
• Build and maintain a library of reusable frontend components, hooks, and design systems for GenAI apps.
• Implement LLM-based experiences using LangChain or LlamaIndex with leading model providers (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini).
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to iterate AI UX patterns (chat assistants, prompt builders).
• Ensure security, accessibility, observability, and test coverage across client-side and full-stack implementations.
