Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, Applied AI (Frontend Leading) to design GenAI-powered web apps with intuitive UIs and scalable frontend interfaces.

You will bridge LLM orchestration and enterprise UX, ensuring low latency and secure, accessible experiences for internal teams and customers. The role demands 5+ years in enterprise frontend with React/TypeScript or Vue, 2+ years GenAI integration, and strong Python backend/cloud skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience with React, TypeScript, or Vue for enterprise web applications.
• 5–8 years of software engineering across the full web stack (frontend UIs, REST APIs, microservices).
• 2+ years of experience integrating GenAI features and LLM APIs into web apps.
• Strong Python backend development skills and 2+ years cloud microservices on AWS, Docker, REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end GenAI-powered applications with intuitive UIs and client-side API integrations.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces using React, TypeScript, or Vue for streaming and low latency.
• Build reusable frontend components, hooks, and design systems for GenAI apps.
• Implement LLM-based experiences using LangChain or LlamaIndex with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to iterate on AI UX patterns (chat assistants, prompt builders).
• Ensure security, accessibility, observability, and test coverage across client-side and full-stack implementations.
