Foot Locker is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive delivery across global merchandising platforms, balancing legacy and modern systems. You will guide cross-functional teams, empower offshore developers, and champion AI-driven improvements while ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability in a cloud-centric environment.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and data teams to modernize the tech stack and reduce technical debt.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years building and supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.
• Experience leading engineering teams and initiatives.
• Experience with global/distributed teams including offshore models.
• Knowledge of AI/ML-enabled solutions in enterprise systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable merchandising platforms.
• Guide engineering teams across onshore and offshore sites.
• Drive modern engineering practices including API-first and cloud-native approaches.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and ensure high-quality execution.
• Collaborate with product, data, and architecture teams to align requirements.
• Champion modernization, reduce technical debt, and improve performance.
