Job summary

Samsara, the Connected Operations Cloud pioneer, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of firmware and ML engineers. You’ll own edge AI deployment, guiding models from training to firmware, and drive high‑impact hardware programs across Samsara’s fleet and industrial products.

You will mentor engineers, shape the edge ML strategy, collaborate with product and hardware teams, and scale solutions for real‑world safety and efficiency while advancing the company’s long‑term technical

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on technical management experience.
8+ years of experience in embedded systems and edge machine learning development.
Experience deploying CV/ML models on edge devices in real-world applications.
Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, or similar programming languages.
Experience with edge AI frameworks and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of firmware and ML engineers building AI for edge devices.
Provide hands-on technical leadership across design, implementation, and optimization.
Set the technical bar for edge ML and embedded systems performance.
Turn AI capabilities into shipped hardware features in Samsara’s fleet and industrial products.
Shape the roadmap with leadership and cross-functional partners.
