Oliver James Group is seeking a hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to design and implement cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes across AWS environments. This remote 6-month contract role emphasizes collaboration with application teams and leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to streamline development and delivery.

The position requires strong DevOps expertise, solid AWS experience, and a deep understanding of deployment automation and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

Hands-on DevOps engineering experience.
Strong AWS/cloud infrastructure experience.
Solid understanding of CI/CD and deployment automation.
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tooling.
Strong troubleshooting and cloud engineering skills.
Ability to work directly with application/development teams.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

Partner with application teams to design and implement cloud infrastructure.
Build and maintain scalable AWS environments.
Design and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
Implement and optimise Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud, infrastructure and deployment issues.
Improve the reliability, scalability and efficiency of development environments.
Use AI-assisted tools to create, debug and understand code, scripts, pipelines and cloud configurations.
Work closely with engineering teams to improve overall delivery processes.
