Job summary

WellSense Health Plan seeks a Lead Data Architect to lead cloud-based data strategy and architecture. You will drive design of scalable data models and implement cloud-native solutions, ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance across the data stack.

The role requires extensive experience with AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, and data security, with collaboration across leadership and data stewards to deliver enterprise insights and regulatory-ready data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience implementing cloud-based enterprise data warehouse/lake solutions.
• Proven experience migrating legacy data warehouses to cloud-based models.
• Experience with AWS in data management, security, and availability.

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive the enterprise data strategy in collaboration with Senior Leadership.
• Design and build robust cloud-based data solutions
• Ensure data quality to meet regulatory requirements and enable timely data delivery
• Define data architecture framework, standards, and metadata management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data needs and translate insights into actions
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HEDIS) and data security at all layers
• Stay current with industry trends and evaluate generative AI to improve insights and development time
