Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Controls Field Engineer to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems across gas and steam turbine projects. You will guide field operations, review engineering docs, and coordinate resources to meet contractual scopes.

Ideal candidates have GE Controls experience, strong PLC knowledge, and the ability to travel 75% with offshore readiness. Fluency in English and Arabic is required, with readiness for worldwide assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited university.
• Extensive experience with GE Controls systems (Mark V/VI/VIe).
• Strong knowledge of turbines, generators, control panels and field instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with field tools and reading technical drawings (P&ID, wiring diagrams).
• Fluent in English and Arabic; valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage controls and instrumentation on-site during installation, commissioning and maintenance.
• Provide customers with technical direction and support for OEM packaged products.
• Understand PLC ladder logic and troubleshoot system software and hardware.
• Set up hardware/software for Gas and Steam Turbine systems and modify sequencing.
• Prepare field service reports and timesheets; coordinate with project/service managers.
• Provide training to customer employees and ensure safety compliance.
• Travel frequently (75%+), including offshore work and travel to restricted countries.
• Drive customer satisfaction and support business growth initiatives.
