Job summary

Maximus is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Appian Developer to drive design, development, and implementation of complex case management and workflow automation solutions in a federal environment. This remote role requires a Public Trust security clearance and U.S.

citizenship. The candidate will lead development initiatives, implement AI-driven capabilities, and ensure compliance with stringent security standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Appian development experience (design, configuration, and implementation)
• 3+ years in a technical lead or senior developer capacity with small-to-medium teams
• Experience delivering mission-critical applications in federal or highly regulated environments
• AI/Automation experience or strong interest in integrating AI into business processes, including AI/ML/LLM integration
• Knowledge of FISMA, NIST, Section 508, and records management compliance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance
