Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Team Lead to own core Android product work, write and review code, and drive feature delivery. You’ll lead end-to-end efforts, ensure reliability, and help the team decide on technical direction. This is a hands-on leadership role in a 100% distributed company.

You will collaborate with design and engineering to ship features, improve release quality, and reduce manual interventions. Strong communication and delivery focus are essential.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end to end, from design to release, with design collaboration.
• Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback beyond simple approvals.
• Unblock the team when blockers arise and take initiative to resolve issues.
• Identify when a component should become the standard across the team and drive the change.
• Keep shared code and components well-tested and easy to pick up.
