Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a Senior Principal AI Software Engineer to establish a technical vision, lead AI architecture and platform, and design foundational services that accelerate industrial AI development.

You will integrate LLMs, NLP, computer vision, RAG, and analytics to deliver secure, scalable AI solutions across business units. You will mentor teams, drive best practices in AI development, testing, security, and documentation, and collaborate with product, data science, and executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• Proficient in Python; Java/Node.js/Go also acceptable.
• Experience deploying production GenAI applications using large language models at scale.
• Experience with vector databases and embedding model optimization in production.
• Expertise with multiple LLM providers and AI orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Influence AI strategy, direction and policy.
• Oversee and lead AI architecture and technical vision across products and solutions.
• Lead cross-team initiatives with product and data science.
• Architect and support large-scale AI programs across business segments.
• Design agent workflows and RAG architectures; develop custom LLMs with domain data.
• Represent GE Vernova as a subject-matter-expert with partners and customers.
• Apply AI trend knowledge to develop new practices.
• Review business requirements and guide trade-off decisions.
• Establish AI cost management, monitoring, and security standards.
