Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso PLLC seeks an experienced Lateral Litigation Attorney to join its growing litigation practice in West Virginia. The role offers remote work for the right candidate with occasional travel to the Charleston office and collaboration with attorneys across Charleston, Morgantown, and Wheeling offices.

The candidate will manage all phases of litigation, draft complex documents, conduct legal research, and provide strategic counsel to clients while contributing to business

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school; admissible to West Virginia State Bar.
• Significant litigation experience with complex matters.
• Experience in one or more areas: commercial litigation, insurance defense, product liability, medical malpractice, mass litigation, or other complex civil litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation including pre-suit investigations, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, trials and appeals.
• Draft and review complex legal documents: pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, correspondence.
• Conduct thorough legal research and develop strategic litigation approaches.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Provide practical legal counsel and regular communication to clients throughout the process.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to develop litigation strategies.
• Contribute to firm growth through exceptional client service, business development and networking.

Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso PLLC is seeking an experienced Lateral Litigation Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. We represent clients in high-stakes, complex litigation throughout West Virginia and beyond. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate while remaining connected to a collaborative team of accomplished litigators across our Charleston, Morgantown, and Wheeling offices. Occasional travel to our Charleston office may be required.

Position Responsibilities

• Managing all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals as appropriate.
• Drafting and reviewing complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
• Conducting thorough legal research and developing strategic litigation approaches.
• Representing clients in court proceedings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Providing practical legal counsel and regular communication to clients throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborating with attorneys across multiple practice areas to develop innovative litigation strategies.
• Contributing to the continued growth of the firm through exceptional client service, business development, and professional networking.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the West Virginia State Bar (or the ability to obtain admission promptly).
• Significant litigation experience with demonstrated success handling complex matters.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Commercial Litigation
• Insurance Defense
• Product Liability
• Medical Malpractice
• Mass Litigation
• Other complex civil litigation
• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and dispositive motion practice.
• Strong organizational and case management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
