Job summary

Ryz Labs is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join the core engineering team supporting a key international client. You will bridge production systems, applied AI, and engineering excellence, designing scalable multi-tenant architectures and governance frameworks while collaborating directly with product managers and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years in software engineering with a path from backend/distributed systems to production ML engineering.
• Deep production ML expertise with MLOps, model evaluation, RAG, embeddings, and fine-tuning.
• Strong software architecture skills in distributed systems, microservices, and async patterns.
• Hands-on DevOps and cloud experience with Docker and cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, data boundaries, and prompt-injection defenses.
• Fluent English communication and ability to present trade-offs to executives.

Responsibilities

• Production ML & optimization: deploy and manage models at scale, monitor latency, drift, and costs.
• Architecture & delivery: design distributed microservices using Python, Go, or TypeScript with IaC/CI-CD.
• AI security & governance: implement agent permissions, human-in-the-loop, data boundaries.
• Product collaboration: translate business needs into scalable architectures and present trade-offs to stakeholders.
