Aqlama.ai is seeking a Language Expert for a flexible, fully remote role focused on translating, validating, and reviewing translations for AI/ML projects. The candidate will ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency across language pairs, working with distributed teams to maintain high-quality outputs.

Ideal candidates have strong linguistics training, experience in annotation and transcription, and excellent English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in linguistics or language studies, including phonetics, morphology, syntax, or sociolinguistics.
• Experience with speech or text annotation, transcription, and quality review for AI, ML, or NLP projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a systematic approach to quality assurance.
• Comfort working remotely, managing time effectively, and collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and conversational technologies; prior industry experience is an advantage.
