Responsibilities

• Research and contact farmers, rural landowners, estate holders, and land-rich families who may consider donating acreage or a life-estate gift for a nonprofit community cemetery.
• Use approved talking points only; explain the public benefit and avoid negotiating terms or promising tax outcomes.
• Keep a shared land-lead log with required fields and hand warm leads to the supervisor the same week.
• Where appropriate, ask county Farm Service Agency offices, farm bureaus, extension offices, and rural churches for public contact lists or bulletin-board permission.
• Attend weekly virtual check-ins and report hours with a short activity note.
• Perform other community-service tasks related to land-for-cemetery outreach as assigned.
