Job summary

UL Research Institutes is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to lead the design, implementation and governance of enterprise KM systems that surface research, expertise, and capabilities across the organization.

You will collaborate with IT, research units, and business stakeholders to advance scalable, user-centered knowledge technologies that support evidence-based decision making and enterprise-wide knowledge visibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and governance of enterprise KM systems including frameworks and workflows.
• Evaluate KM platforms and tools in partnership with IT and business units.
• Develop knowledge maps and expertise locators to surface institutional strengths.
• Create training and change-management materials to promote KM adoption.
• Support data governance initiatives and data standardization projects.
• Design and maintain metadata schemas, vocabularies, taxonomies and ontologies.
