Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking an internationally based telephonic interpreter to join its network of independent contractors. You will handle on-demand calls and facilitate language communication for the LEP community across diverse settings, delivering accurate interpretation from your remote workspace.

Ideal candidates have fluency in English and Kizigua, strong technology skills, and a quiet, secure interpreting space.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in English and Kizigua.
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
• Interpreting space must be quiet, secure, and free from outside noises.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting.
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct and confidentiality.
