Job summary

Remote Jobs is seeking an experienced Khmer-to-English or English-to-Khmer translator and editor for ongoing document translation and editing assignments. This remote, freelance independent contractor role supports multiple clients with flexible scheduling.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years of translation/editing experience, native-level Khmer and English skills, and the ability to deliver accurate, client-ready work while meeting tight turnaround times.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and current residence in the United States required.
• Native or highly proficient Khmer and English language skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in translation/linguistics preferred.
• 2–5 years of proven translator/editing experience.
• Ability to provide per-word rates and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Translate Khmer to English or English to Khmer into an accurate product.
• Edit and review translated materials for accuracy, grammar, formatting, and consistency.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow client instructions and formatting requirements.
• Meet deadlines, including one-to-two-day turnaround timelines when required.
