The interpreter handles on-demand calls across multiple industries, translating verbally between Kham and English. A quiet home office and training are provided. Background checks may apply before offer.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Kham and English with cultural understanding.
• Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional/accent differences.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking abilities for accurate interpretation.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• US work authorization without visa sponsorship requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading/writing in the requested languages is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render accurate meanings according to interpretation conventions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation.
• Maintain professional demeanor during sessions, including high-stress situations.
• Handle on-demand calls across healthcare, government, insurance, finance and more.
• Focus on verbal interpretation; no written translation.
