Job summary

IPEM SOLUTIONS INC. is seeking an experienced Katalon Automation SME to architect, lead, and execute test automation initiatives using Katalon Studio.

The role focuses on architecting scalable automation frameworks, automating web applications and APIs, and integrating testing into the SDLC. Remote position in the United States with collaboration across analysts, developers, and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or bachelor's with 9+ years in Katalon automation.
• Referenceable experience on state or federal projects.
• At least one Salesforce Certification.
• Referenceable Nintex experience on state/federal projects.
• Hands-on Katalon Studio, develop reusable automation frameworks.
• Proficient in Groovy programming.
• Experience with API testing and REST/JSON validation.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with cross-browser testing and distributed execution.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio.
• Build reusable automation frameworks, custom keywords, test objects, and suites.
• Automate functional, integration, and regression testing for web apps and APIs.
• Develop API automation scripts for REST/SOAP services and data validation.
• Write and troubleshoot Groovy/Java-based scripts and utilities.
• Design data-driven tests and manage test data across environments.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Analyze results, identify root causes, and report defects.
• Collaborate with QA, devs, analysts, and stakeholders to improve coverage.
• Provide guidance, code reviews, and mentoring to QA engineers.
