Fairview Health Services is seeking a Karen Spoken Language Healthcare Interpreter for a full-time role (80 hours per two-week pay period) with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule and the flexibility to work remotely. The position emphasizes accurate, culturally responsive interpretation across healthcare encounters and requires HIPAA-compliant remote work setup.

The role supports language access via virtual platforms and requires formal interpreter training, remote and onsite

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 40 hours of formal training from an accredited program.
• 2 years remote HC interpreting or 1 year remote + 1 year onsite HC interpreting.
• Proof of appropriate work area setup as per RWH agreement.
• Minnesota Dept of Health Spoken Language Interpreter roster upon hire.

• Interpret accurately and completely, conveying content and spirit with cultural context.
• Utilize both consecutive and simultaneous interpreting as needed.
• Manage setup and flow of communication to promote autonomy.
• Facilitate cross-cultural communication and flag disparities affecting outcomes.

• Adhere to NCIHC Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice.
